We are currently partnering with a leading healthcare provider to recruit an Operations Manager for their brand new centre in Limerick. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of a busy oncology service, encompassing radiation oncology and medical oncology.

This position will work closely with clinical leaders and senior management locally and across a wider network of cancer centres.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operational management of Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology services, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centred care

  • Provide strong leadership to clinical and non-clinical teams, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and positive staff engagement

  • Drive quality assurance, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement initiatives across the service

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and governance requirements, maintaining inspection readiness at all times

  • Work closely with clinical leadership and wider stakeholders to improve service delivery and patient experience

  • Manage operational and capital budgets, monitoring performance and implementing efficiency improvements

  • Support staff development through performance management, training, and continuing professional development initiatives

  • Contribute to service planning, reporting, and strategic projects across the wider oncology network

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Radiotherapy, Healthcare Administration, Clinical Discipline, or related field
  • Proven experience in a healthcare operations or healthcare management role, ideally within a hospital or complex clinical environment

  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams

  • Strong understanding of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance in healthcare

  • Financial and operational management experience, including budgeting and performance monitoring

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable

  • Experience within oncology services or acute hospital settings

  • Masters qualification in healthcare management, business, or a related discipline
