Maintenance Fitter (Full-Time, Permanent)
Location: Kildare
Salary: From €58,000 + shift rates

YOUR NEW COMPANY

My client is an established Irish company with two manufacturing facilities based in Co. Kildare and part of a global group of companies that employ over 10,000 staff across over 100 sites globally. Commutable from Kildare, Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois and parts of Wicklow and South Dublin they are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Fitter. The company manufacture products for the housing, industrial and agricultural sectors and are currently enjoying an exciting period of growth in their business.

This is a hands-on role focused on both planned (PPM) and reactive maintenance of production equipment.

Your new Fitter Job:

  • Carry out mechanical maintenance on production machinery
  • Work to preventative maintenance schedules (PPM)
  • Respond to breakdowns and minimise downtime
  • Complete risk assessments and method statements
  • Support and train apprentices
  • Start on day shifts, moving to 3 or 4 cycle shifts

Shift & Pay Overview

  • Day shift (starting): €1,131.47/week (avg. 39 hrs)
  • 3-shift cycle: €1,521.26/week
  • 4-shift cycle: €1,774.95/week
  • Shifts: 8–12 hours, may include Saturdays
  • Evening: 47 hrs/week | Night: 43 hrs/week

What we need from you

  • Qualified in a mechanical maintenance trade with experience in manufacturing (ideally heavy industry, engineering, or construction materials)
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and machining (turning/milling)
