Mechanic / Plant Fitter
An established specialist business based in Ashbourne is seeking an experienced Mechanic / Plant Fitter to join its busy workshop team.
This is a hands-on position involving the servicing, maintenance and repair of commercial vehicles, trailers, plant and heavy equipment.
The Role:
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on plant, trailers and heavy equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
- Complete preventative maintenance and inspections
- Carry out welding and fabrication work where required
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard
- Maintain a safe and organised workshop environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as a Mechanic, Plant Fitter, HGV Mechanic or similar
- Strong mechanical knowledge and practical problem-solving skills
- Experience with heavy vehicles, plant or trailers is advantageous
- Welding/fabrication experience is beneficial
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full driving licence preferred
