Maintenance Technician

Full Time | Permanent | Monday to Friday (Days Only)
An established and leading medical device manufacturer based in Co. Kildare is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its expanding team. Operating within a high-volume, highly automated environment, this role plays a critical part in ensuring equipment reliability, quality compliance and production efficiency.
This opportunity is ideally suited to a candidate with strong automation and/or injection moulding experience who thrives in a structured, compliance-driven manufacturing setting and is motivated to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Perform corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance across manufacturing equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair complex systems including injection moulding machines and multi-axis robotics
- Support installation, commissioning and modification of automated equipment
- Interpret technical drawings, wiring schematics and system layouts
- Lead and support process improvement initiatives in line with Lean and change management principles
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with cGMP and Quality Management System requirements
- Ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards
Requirements
- Third-level qualification in Automation Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or similar, or a fully qualified trade with relevant manufacturing experience
- Strong competency in electrical diagnostics and fault finding
- Proven experience in automation and/or injection moulding is essential
- Demonstrated experience working on high-volume automated production equipment
- Knowledge of PLCs, servo drives, pneumatics, hydraulics and robotics
- Understanding of QMS principles, ideally ISO13485
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
