Maintenance Technician

A Maintenance Technician is required to join our client’s maintenance team in West Limerick. This role would particularly suit a qualified Electrician, Mechanic or Fitter with experience maintaining and repairing heavy plant and machinery.
You will be responsible for maintaining equipment across the company’s facilities, responding to breakdowns and supporting planned maintenance programmes to improve reliability and minimise downtime.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out and schedule day-to-day equipment maintenance.
- Diagnose and resolve faults across hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems.
- Develop and improve planned and predictive maintenance processes.
- Support maintenance planning, equipment reviews and failure investigations.
- Liaise with equipment manufacturers, suppliers and external technicians to co-ordinate repairs and servicing.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
- Ensure all work complies with health, safety, environmental and operational procedures.
Requirements
- A recognised qualification as an Electrician, Mechanic or Fitter, with at least three years’ relevant experience.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining heavy plant and machinery, including hydraulic, mechanical and electrical power trains.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- A sound understanding of preventative maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.
- Ability to work at height in an outdoor environment.
- A full EU driving licence and existing entitlement to work in the EU.
