Our client, a well-established food production company based in South Tipperary, is looking to recruit a Maintenance Electrician to join their busy engineering team. What you will be doing:
- Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults to minimise production downtime.
- Troubleshooting PLC controlled machinery and automated production lines.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Assisting with equipment installations, upgrades, and improvement projects.
- Completing maintenance records and required documentation.
- Liaising with contractors and suppliers when required.
What we are looking for:
- Qualified Electrician with a recognised electrical trade qualification.
- Previous maintenance experience within a food manufacturing or manufacturing environment is essential.
- Strong electrical fault finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with PLC controlled machinery would be an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work a rotating Days and Evenings shift pattern.
