Our client, a leading food manufacturing company based in Co. Kildare, is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join their engineering team. This is a permanent, full time shift role offering strong pay, premiums, and long term career progression within a modern, high volume production facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production lines and site utilities
- Install, commission, and troubleshoot plant and equipment
- Perform PLC diagnostics and basic programming support
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks through the CMMS system
- Maximise equipment uptime and reduce production downtime
- Support utilities including compressed air, HVAC, and refrigeration systems
- Follow GMP, food safety, and lock out tag out procedures
Requirements:
- Qualified Electrician or time served Fitter with electrical experience
- Minimum 3 years maintenance experience in manufacturing or food production
- PLC fault finding experience
- Experience with motor control, sensors, pneumatics, and process controls
- Knowledge of Food Safety policies and legislation (BRC & ISO)
- Strong problem solving and teamwork skills
