FRS Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Lead Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) advisor on behalf of a well-established civil engineering contractor based in County Galway.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading infrastructure contractor, taking a key role in supporting tender submissions, developing HSEQ systems, and ensuring compliance across a diverse range of civil engineering projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead HSEQ input for PQQs and tender submissions.
  • Prepare tailored responses to project-specific HSEQ requirements.
  • Support construction teams on key project constraints and compliance.
  • Attend site visits for prospective and live projects.
  • Review and improve HSEQ procedures and management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with current environmental and safety legislation.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and company reporting.
  • Mentor and assist with the development of junior team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum Level 7 qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety or equivalent.
  • 5+ years' relevant HSEQ experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish health, safety and environmental legislation.
  • Experience preparing HSEQ content for tenders and pre-qualification submissions.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Previous experience within the Irish construction or infrastructure sector is highly advantageous.
