FRS Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Lead Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) advisor on behalf of a well-established civil engineering contractor based in County Galway.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading infrastructure contractor, taking a key role in supporting tender submissions, developing HSEQ systems, and ensuring compliance across a diverse range of civil engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead HSEQ input for PQQs and tender submissions.
- Prepare tailored responses to project-specific HSEQ requirements.
- Support construction teams on key project constraints and compliance.
- Attend site visits for prospective and live projects.
- Review and improve HSEQ procedures and management systems.
- Ensure compliance with current environmental and safety legislation.
- Support sustainability initiatives and company reporting.
- Mentor and assist with the development of junior team members.
Requirements
- Minimum Level 7 qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety or equivalent.
- 5+ years' relevant HSEQ experience.
- Strong knowledge of Irish health, safety and environmental legislation.
- Experience preparing HSEQ content for tenders and pre-qualification submissions.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Previous experience within the Irish construction or infrastructure sector is highly advantageous.
