Lab Technician – Chemistry

Our client is seeking a Lab Technician – Chemistry to join their QC laboratory team in Waterford.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Chemistry or Science graduate to build on their existing GMP laboratory experience while developing their analytical skills across a range of testing techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Quality Control (QC) testing in accordance with current GMP requirements.
• Carry out investigative testing in support of root cause investigations.
• Analyse data and accurately record results in accordance with SOPs and laboratory procedures.
• Support the batch/job approval process.
• Ensure all laboratory documentation is accurate, current and maintained in an audit-ready condition.
• Support equipment calibration and validation activities.
• Follow established laboratory procedures and quality standards.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of laboratory performance and compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum BSc in Science, preferably Chemistry.
• Min 1–4 years’ experience in a GMP environment, ideally within a QC laboratory.
• Experience in Finished Product GMP testing.
• Practical experience with analytical techniques including:
  • HPLC
  • GC
  • UV-Vis
  • Dissolution
• Experience with Waters instrumentation and Empower III would be an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
