About the Role

A well-established civil engineering contractor working in the renewable infrastructure sector is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

This is a developmental role, ideal for a graduate or early-career Quantity Surveyor looking to gain hands-on experience on civil and renewable energy projects. You will work closely with senior commercial and project teams in a supportive environment with clear progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day cost control and commercial management
  • Support preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts
  • Measurement, valuations, and interim payment applications
  • Assist with subcontractor procurement, valuations, and variations
  • Review subcontractor and supplier invoices
  • Maintain accurate cost records and assist with reporting
  • Support change control and variation tracking
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards

Requirements

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
  • 1–5 year's experience (graduates encouraged to apply)
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work on site when required
