About the Role
A well-established civil engineering contractor working in the renewable infrastructure sector is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
This is a developmental role, ideal for a graduate or early-career Quantity Surveyor looking to gain hands-on experience on civil and renewable energy projects. You will work closely with senior commercial and project teams in a supportive environment with clear progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day cost control and commercial management
- Support preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts
- Measurement, valuations, and interim payment applications
- Assist with subcontractor procurement, valuations, and variations
- Review subcontractor and supplier invoices
- Maintain accurate cost records and assist with reporting
- Support change control and variation tracking
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
- 1–5 year's experience (graduates encouraged to apply)
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work on site when required
