FRS Recruitment is currently recruiting an Inventory Technician (Shift Based) on behalf of our client, a leading organisation based in Kilkenny. Reporting directly to the Stores Supervisor, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in keeping day-to-day warehouse and central inventory operations running seamlessly.

This role offers a highly competitive shift premium and structured hours planned well in advance.

Benefits and Package

  • Earning Potential: Base salary of €38K - €39K, plus a 28% shift allowance applied when working shifts.

  • Bonus Structure: Up to €1,500 annual KPI performance bonus, paid pro-rata in December.

  • Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts working both day and night rotations across a 7-day pattern. The schedule consists of 4 x 12-hour shifts, with the 4th shift changing as it includes on-call rotation. Hours are planned well in advance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage goods inwards, receiving, and logging incoming stock.

  • Conduct stock counts and cycle counting to maintain inventory accuracy.

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the central stores and achieve site-specific metrics.

  • Handle day-to-day engineering queries from on-site engineers regarding parts and inventory.

  • Fulfil specific requests in line with contractual agreements and complete other ad-hoc duties as required.

Candidate Profile

  • Fully computer literate with strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.

  • Sharp attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with fluency in English.

  • Confidence when dealing directly with clients, vendors, and engineers.

  • A flexible, adaptable approach with a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.

Desirable Criteria

  • Operating knowledge of pharmaceutical GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and central inventory systems such as SAP, Ariba, or Maximo.

  • Prior knowledge or familiarity with engineering parts.
