About the Role

FRS Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced In-House Healthcare Trainer & Compliance Officer to support our growing Healthcare Temporary Division.

This is a unique dual-role position, with approximately 50% of your time dedicated to delivering healthcare training to our temporary workforce and 50% supporting the Healthcare Compliance Team with onboarding and maintaining compliance standards.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our healthcare professionals are fully compliant, highly trained and ready to support HSE and private healthcare clients across Ireland.

Candidates who hold a Train the Trainer qualification and are qualified to deliver at least one of the required healthcare training courses are encouraged to apply. Training and support may be provided to develop additional instructor qualifications over time.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Development (Approx. 50%)

  • Deliver healthcare training, including PMAV (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression), Patient Moving & Handling and/or Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR, depending on your qualifications.
  • Schedule and coordinate regional training sessions throughout Ireland.
  • Deliver both classroom-based and practical training.
  • Assess competency and provide constructive feedback to participants.
  • Maintain accurate training records and certification logs.
  • Monitor certificate expiry dates and organise refresher training.
  • Support the continuous development of FRS healthcare temporary staff.
  • Ensure all training complies with HSE and industry best practice standards.
  • Assist in developing additional in-house training programmes as the business grows.

Compliance (Approx. 50%)

  • Support the Healthcare Compliance Team with onboarding new temporary staff.
  • Review compliance documentation to ensure candidates meet HSE and client requirements.
  • Verify qualifications, registrations, training certificates and employment history.
  • Coordinate Garda Vetting and reference checks.
  • Monitor compliance expiry dates and liaise with candidates regarding renewals.
  • Maintain accurate records on the recruitment database.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE Framework requirements, HIQA standards and company policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service to candidates throughout the onboarding process.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Train the Trainer qualification.
  • Qualified instructor in at least one of the following:
    • PMAV (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression)
    • Patient Moving and Handling
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR
  • Previous experience delivering healthcare training.
  • Previous experience working within healthcare, disability services or social care.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Full clean Irish driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Ireland.

Desirable

  • Instructor qualifications in additional healthcare training courses (PMAV, Patient Moving & Handling and/or BLS/CPR).
  • Experience working within healthcare recruitment or compliance.
  • Knowledge of HSE Framework requirements.
  • Experience using recruitment databases/ATS systems.
