ICT Infrastructure Lead Analyst (Lead Infrastructure Engineer) : Carlow/Kilkenny

I am working with this prestigious client in their search for an ICT Infrastructure Lead Analyst (Lead Infrastructure Engineer).

The Role

You will have strong technical ability, broad experience of various facets of ICT Infrastructure, specific experience and certifications in Microsoft 365 and Azure, project leading abilities and excellent customer and vendor relationship management skills. You will play an active part in a team that designs, leads projects and manages ICT operations and services across the organisation. The primary purpose is to manage, maintain, secure and develop the ICT infrastructure in order to provide an efficient and resilient service to meet the needs of the business.

Technology Environment

You will work across a broad enterprise stack, including:

  • Microsoft 365 (Teams, Entra ID, Intune, Dataverse, Power Platform)
  • Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, databases, identity)
  • Active Directory & identity services
  • VMware virtualisation
  • Storage: SAN/NAS
  • Backup: Commvault, Veeam
  • Networking: Cisco, Juniper, Dell
  • Monitoring and automation tools

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in enterprise infrastructure and systems administration
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
  • Experience managing virtualised environments (VMware)
  • Strong understanding of identity, security, and access management
  • Experience with backup, storage, and monitoring solutions
  • Ability to work across cloud and on-premise hybrid architectures
  • Proven experience working with managed service providers and third parties
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Desirable

  • Experience with automation and deployment tooling
  • Exposure to Power Platform, D365, or Azure data services
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and best practices
  • Experience in public sector or large enterprise environments
