The Role
The HSQE Officer will work closely with site and operational teams to ensure the highest standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance across live projects. The role will focus on safe working practices, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across site operations.
Key Responsibilities

Support the implementation and maintenance of Health & Safety management systems across sites

Carry out site inspections, audits, and risk assessments

Assist with accident, incident, and near-miss investigations

Support the delivery of Health & Safety training and toolbox talks
-
Ensure compliance with Irish, EU, and industry HSQE legislation
-
Support the Quality Management System (ISO 9001), including audits and non-conformance management
-
Assist with Environmental Management Systems in line with ISO 14001
-
Support environmental audits, waste management, and site best practices
-
Maintain accurate HSQE documentation and prepare reports for management
-
Promote a strong safety-first and quality-driven culture across projects
Requirements
-
Degree or relevant qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
-
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar HSQE / SHEQ role

Experience within construction, utilities, infrastructure, or maintenance frameworks preferred
-
Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 (or OHSAS 18001)

Strong communication and organisational skills

Ability to work independently across multiple sites

Proficient in Microsoft Office
