HSEQ Coordinator
Location: Dunboyne, Co. Meath or Manchester, UK
Overview of the Role
The HSEQ Coordinator ensures compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, typically maintaining ISO certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001).
Key responsibilities include conducting site audits, managing documentation (RAMS), investigating incidents, and fostering a strong safety‑first culture. The successful candidate will be required to spend time in the UK and Ireland depending on their location.
Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert on HSEQ matters, providing technical expertise, guidance, and assurance to support compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement across all departments.
- Support the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure ongoing adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Maintain control of HSEQ documentation, procedures, and records, including risk assessments, method statements, and training matrices.
- Record, report, and investigate incidents, near misses, and hazards, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions implemented.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to monitor safety compliance and environmental performance.
- Deliver HSEQ inductions and provide coaching to promote a positive safety culture.
- Oversee contractor compliance with HSEQ policies and site safety requirements.
- Assist with HSEQ elements of tender responses.
- Promote health & safety, environmental, and quality awareness across the business.
- Support operational teams with safety documentation, including RAMS, permits, toolbox talks, and inductions.
- Monitor PPE issuance records and compliance.
- Coordinate and track H&S training for all staff.
- Manage supplier and subcontractor approval processes and associated compliance documentation.
- Support management with HSEQ performance reporting and KPIs.
- Assist in the delivery and monitoring of HSEQ objectives.
Experience & Expertise
- 2–5+ years’ experience in an HSEQ role within utilities, construction, manufacturing, or a similar environment.
- Strong working knowledge of UK and Irish health & safety legislation and duty holder responsibilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HSEQ systems, with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality, or a related discipline.
- IOSH membership (or working towards).
- Full driving licence required for site visits.

- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with site teams, supervisors, contractors, and senior management.
- Able to work independently, prioritise workload, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
