We are currently partnering with a leading organisation to recruit an HR Onboarding Specialist to join a busy and collaborative HR team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering an outstanding employee experience from day one.

The Role

As an HR Onboarding Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the full onboarding journey for new employees while assisting with a range of HR administration and recruitment activities. Working closely with hiring managers and the wider HR team, you will help ensure a seamless and engaging onboarding experience for all new starters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver an efficient onboarding process, including new starter inductions.
  • Act as the main point of contact for new hires throughout their onboarding journey.
  • Keep hiring managers informed on onboarding progress and provide regular updates.
  • Identify opportunities to improve onboarding processes and the overall employee experience.
  • Build strong working relationships with hiring managers and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files.
  • Provide administrative support across recruitment activities, including posting job advertisements, screening CVs, scheduling interviews and coordinating recruitment campaigns.
  • Update and maintain the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Manage shared HR inboxes and respond to employee queries.
  • Conduct employment reference checks.
  • Prepare and issue contracts of employment.
  • Support wider HR initiatives, including employee engagement and wellbeing activities.

About You

  • Degree in HR/ Business or relevant experience
  • Previous experience in an HR Administration, HR Coordinator or HR Onboarding role is desirable.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate confidently at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Proactive, adaptable and able to work on your own initiative.
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) would be an advantage.
