Our client, a well-established and successful organisation within the food production sector, is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a hands-on leadership role supporting a large operational workforce in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day HR function, oversee the HR team, and partner closely with managers across the business to provide practical HR support, with a strong focus on employee relations.

Location: Thurles, Co. Tipperary
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm | Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Contract: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Start Date: August 2026
Working Arrangement: Fully Onsite

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day HR function and support the HR team.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, investigation, performance and absence management.
  • Partner with managers to provide practical HR guidance and support.
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment across operational and support functions.
  • Ensure HR policies, procedures and documentation remain compliant with employment legislation.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and reporting in line with GDPR requirements.
  • Coordinate training, compliance and employee development activities.
  • Contribute to employee engagement, retention and a positive workplace culture.

About You

  • Relevant third-level qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a HR Management position.
  • Strong employee relations experience is essential.
  • Previous experience within manufacturing, food production, FMCG or another fast-paced operational environment is highly desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Experience managing HR systems and maintaining accurate HR records.
  • Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Additional Information

  • This is a fully onsite position based in Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
  • Candidates should live within a reasonable commuting distance.
  • Due to the location, own transport is required.
  • Preferred start date is August 2026.
