HR Generalist – Newbridge (Hybrid Working)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team within the recycling and environmental services sector. Based in Newbridge, this is an excellent opportunity to be part of a purpose-driven organisation that plays a vital role in sustainability and waste management across multiple sites.

This role is ideally suited to someone who is hands-on, solutions-focused, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, operational environment. You will work closely with site managers and teams, providing practical HR support that keeps the business running smoothly.

The Role
As HR Generalist, you will support a network of depots and operational sites, partnering with managers to deliver consistent and effective HR practices across the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and advising on a wide range of employee relations matters
  • Supporting HR operations across multiple sites, ensuring consistency and compliance
  • Assisting with payroll processing, ensuring accuracy in a time-sensitive environment
  • Producing and analysing HR reports to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Building strong working relationships with site managers and acting as a trusted HR partner
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives within a high-turnover, operational workforce
  • Contributing to continuous improvement projects and HR process enhancements

The role requires regular travel to depots; therefore, a full driving licence and access to a car is essential.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within industrial, logistics, or recycling environments
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations
  • Strong employee relations expertise
  • Hands-on payroll experience
  • Experience using HR systems and reporting tools
  • A flexible, can-do attitude with a strong sense of ownership
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build credibility at all levels

A genuine interest in sustainability or environmental services would be a distinct advantage.

What We Offer

  • Salary in the region of €40,000–€50,000 (depending on experience)
  • Defined Contribution pension post-probation
  • Hybrid working (2 days remote per week, with flexibility required depending on operational needs)
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
  • Free on-site parking

This is a great opportunity to join a growing organisation in an essential industry, where you can make a tangible impact while developing your career in a supportive and forward-thinking team.
