Travel required 1 day per week (approx.) to additional site in Co. Monaghan

Currently seeking an experienced HR Advisor to provide hands-on, practical HR support. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will act as a trusted HR point of contact for managers and employees, ensuring compliance with HR policies, employment matters are handled properly, and HR processes run smoothly.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and Irish employment legislation.
- Provide practical guidance and support through disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance management processes.
- Ensure employee relations matters are handled fairly, consistently, and in line with company policy and legal requirements.
- Prepare letters, meeting notes, and case documentation, ensuring records are accurate and complete.
- Monitor sickness absence and support managers with return-to-work conversations and long-term absence cases.
- Coordinate Occupational Health referrals, appointments, and follow-up actions.
- Produce regular HR reports including absence and turnover data.
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure data is kept up to date.
- Stay informed on Irish employment legislation and flag changes that may impact the business.
- Support updates to policies and procedures when required.
- Apply HR policies consistently across the site(s)
- Assist with HR projects and ongoing process improvements.
- Work closely with operations and the wider HR team to provide reliable, responsive HR support.
- Support payroll-related administration when required.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a hands on operations HR role.
- CIPD qualification (Level 3)
- Good working knowledge of Irish employment law.
- Is practical, calm, and approachable, with a common-sense approach to HR.
- Enjoys working in an operational, people-facing role.
- Comfortable handling employee relations casework from start to finish.
- Values stability, consistency, and good working relationships over rapid career progression.
- Is confident working independently while knowing when to escalate issues.
- Experience supporting disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence processes.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
