A well-established and growing civil engineering contractor is seeking a Health & Safety Officer to join their team in the Ballinasloe area.

The Role
You will play a key role in supporting site teams to ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and compliance are maintained across active projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Assist in the preparation and review of RAMS
- Ensure full compliance with Irish health & safety legislation
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Investigate incidents and produce detailed reports
- Maintain accurate H&S documentation and records
- Work closely with site management and subcontractors
- Promote a strong, proactive safety culture on site
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Health & Safety or related discipline
- 1–3+ years’ experience in a similar role (construction/civils preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Irish H&S regulations
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full driving licence
