Our client, a well-established and growing civil engineering, quarrying, and infrastructure group, is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead and develop health and safety performance across multiple business units and locations.
This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for driving a positive safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across a diverse operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee Health & Safety compliance across multiple sites and business divisions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Health & Safety policies, procedures, and risk management systems.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and incident investigations, ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement, coaching, training, and leadership.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities and external auditors.
- Prepare and present Health & Safety reports to senior management.
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of ISO 45001 Health & Safety Management Systems.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a senior Health & Safety leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and industry best practices.
- Experience working across multiple sites or business units is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant Health & Safety qualification and professional certification.
- Ability to influence and drive positive behavioural change throughout an organisation.
