Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) Manager

Tipperary | 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract | Generous Salary Package

We're recruiting an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) Manager to join a leading manufacturing company in Tipperary/Midlands on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you'll take ownership of the site's Health, Safety & Environmental function, ensuring compliance with legislation while driving a positive safety culture across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing operation and make a real impact.

The Role

  • Lead the site's Health, Safety & Environmental Management System.

  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.

  • Carry out risk assessments, audits and workplace inspections.

  • Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, implementing corrective and preventative actions.

  • Deliver Health & Safety inductions and coordinate mandatory training programmes.

  • Develop and maintain Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safe systems of work.

  • Chair Health & Safety Committee meetings and promote employee engagement.

  • Monitor environmental compliance, including chemical storage, emissions and waste management.

  • Coordinate emergency response procedures, fire drills and statutory requirements.

  • Prepare Health & Safety reports, KPIs and compliance documentation.

  • Liaise with insurers and external bodies regarding workplace incidents and claims.

  • Support GDPR compliance across the organisation.

About You

  • Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH, Diploma, Degree or equivalent).

  • Previous Health & Safety experience within manufacturing, food production or an industrial environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements.

  • Experience conducting audits, investigations and risk assessments.

  • Manual Handling Instructor qualification would be an advantage.
