Health & Safety Officer
A proactive and hands-on Health & Safety Officer is required to support safe operations across multi-site manufacturing and recycling facilities. This is a full-time, permanent position primarily based in the Midlands, with regular travel to sites across Ireland.
The Role
The Group Health & Safety Officer will play a key role in developing, maintaining and continuously improving the organisation’s Health & Safety Management System while supporting operational teams in achieving high safety standards.
Key responsibilities include:

Maintaining and improving the ISO45001 Health & Safety Management System

Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation in Ireland and the UK

Conducting internal audits and supporting external audits with timely close-out

Preparing and reviewing risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work

Investigating incidents, accidents and near misses

Delivering safety training, inductions and toolbox talks
-
Supporting safety committees and workforce engagement
-
Managing contractor and visitor safety compliance
About the Candidate
-
Minimum of 2 year's experience in a Health & Safety role
-
Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments desirable
-
Strong knowledge of ISO45001 and Health & Safety legislation
-
Excellent communication skills
-
Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel
