A Health & Safety Lead is required to oversee and enhance workplace safety, ensuring compliance with Irish legislation, environmental regulations, and food-grade manufacturing standards. The role drives a proactive safety culture, implements continuous improvements, and leads safety initiatives across all departments.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain the Health & Safety Management System (ISO 45001 / ISO 14001).

Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.

Deliver and coordinate safety training, including LOTO, chemical handling, and emergency procedures.

Maintain safety documentation, SOPs, and risk registers.
-
Lead safety committees, emergency drills, and employee safety engagement programs.
-
Track, report, and improve safety KPIs using data-driven approaches.
-
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure safe, compliant processes.
Requirements:
-
Occupational Health & Safety qualification.
-
2–5 year's experience in manufacturing H&S role.

Strong knowledge of Irish H&S legislation, environmental regulations, and best practices.

Experience with risk assessments, incident investigation, and ISO 45001 audits.

Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.

Proficient in MS Office; advanced Excel skills an advantage.
