Head of Engineering / Senior Projects Manager

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Head of Engineering / Senior Projects Manager to take a key leadership role within a major multinational manufacturing organisation.
Reporting to the Site Director, you will lead the engineering and project function while overseeing a portfolio of strategic CAPEX, site development and continuous improvement projects.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Leading and developing the site Engineering & Projects teams
- Managing major CAPEX projects from concept through to commissioning
- Developing and delivering the site engineering and investment strategy
- Managing multiple projects, budgets, timelines, risks and resources
- Supporting site expansion, capacity increases and process optimisation
- Managing contractors, consultants, suppliers and engineering partners
- Driving engineering improvements in productivity, efficiency, quality and sustainability
- Providing technical leadership to manufacturing and site operations
- Reporting project performance and investment progress to senior leadership
The Person
We are looking for an experienced engineering/project leader with:
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Process Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years' senior engineering leadership/project management experience
- Strong track record delivering CAPEX projects on time and within budget
- Experience managing engineering teams and external contractors
- Excellent project, financial and stakeholder management skills
- Strong knowledge of automation, manufacturing and process technologies
- Experience within FMCG, food, dairy or process manufacturing would be advantageous
- PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent qualification desirable
