Office based for first 6 months, hybrid working opportunity thereafter.

Salary: €30,000 plus pension, bonus and increasing AL with service.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their HR career to gain broad, hands-on experience across the full employee life-cycle in Ireland, the UK and Europe. Working closely with the HR team, the successful candidate will provide day-to-day HR support while developing practical experience across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR systems, payroll administration, learning and development, employee engagement and general HR operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support recruitment and onboarding activities across Ireland, the UK and Europe.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, and prepare HR documentation, contracts and correspondence.
  • Assist throughout the employee lifecycle, including offers, onboarding, probation reviews, performance reviews, promotions, salary changes, contract updates and employee departures.
  • Support learning, training and development initiatives.
  • Maintain and update job specifications.
  • Provide administrative support for employee relations processes, including disciplinary and grievance matters.
  • Support employee wellbeing initiatives and employee support programmes.
  • Assist with employee engagement activities and company events.
  • Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the HR team.
  • Handle sensitive employee information with discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Carry out additional HR administrative duties as required.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Degree, diploma or qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline is desirable.
  • Working towards a CIPD qualification would be an advantage but is not essential.
  • Previous administrative experience is desirable, ideally within HR or an office environment, but not essential.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and organise workload effectively.
  • Professional, confidential and employee-focused approach.
  • Positive attitude with a genuine interest in developing a career in Human Resources.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
