G eneral Operative / Yard Assistant
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join a busy team for a full-time position based in the Drehid, Co Kildare. The site operates a landfill-gas power plant that generates electricity from recovered gas, contributing to sustainable energy production.
Pay Rate:
€14.31 per hour
Hours:
40 hours per week
Additional:
Some Saturday work will be required
Key Duties:
- Assisting with the day-to-day operation of a landfill gas-to-energy facility
- Tractor driving for material movement and site support tasks
- Digger driving for light excavation, trenching, and maintenance work
- Power washing of plant, machinery, and designated work areas to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- Carrying out general yard maintenance including tidying, waste management, and upkeep of operational areas
- Supporting basic inspection and maintenance of infrastructure
- Assisting skilled technicians with routine checks and minor repairs
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Reporting any faults, hazards, or maintenance needs to supervisors promptly
Requirements:
- Valid Safe Pass
- Manual Handling certification
- Full driving licence
- Experience operating plant machinery (tractor/digger) is an advantage
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
