Our client, a leading manufacturer of heavy equipment, is seeking a Plant Fitter to join their team in Co. Laois. This is a full-time, workshop-based role focused on the assembly and commissioning of plant machinery, offering hands-on work and full training on company-specific systems.
What you will do:
- Fit and assemble hydraulic and electrical systems on plant machinery
- Work on the build and final assembly of heavy equipment
- Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Carry out hydraulic plumbing and system installation
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
- Work independently and as part of a skilled production team
What we are looking for:
- 5 years+ experience as a Plant Fitter, Hydraulic Fitter, Agri Mechanic or similar
- Solid understanding of hydraulic systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Team player with a strong work ethic
