Hours: Part Time , 2-2.5 days per week (flexible)
On behalf of our client, a small SME, we are looking for a Part Time Financial Controller/Qualified Accountant to join their team in the Tralee area. As a Financial Accountant/Qualified Accountant you will be responsible for personally delivering the core finance function. The role covers management accounts, year-end, payroll, financial analysis, margin review, grants, and finance projects, while providing practical commercial support to the business.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and analysis.
- Produce year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants.
- Run payroll end-to-end, ensuring compliance with Irish payroll legislation.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow forecasts.
- Carry out margin, cost, and profitability analysis and advise on pricing.
- Deliver finance-related projects and system improvements.
- Identify, apply for, and manage grants and funding.
- Provide clear, practical financial advice to management.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven hands-on experience in a senior finance or SME environment.
- Strong management accounts, payroll, and year-end experience.
- Commercially minded with strong analytical skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a part-time role.
