Financial Controller

Bray, Co. Wicklow | €70,000 | 4-Day Week

I'm currently partnering with a well-established, purpose-led organisation in Bray that is seeking to appoint a Financial Controller to join its leadership team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused finance professional who enjoys working in an SME environment where they can make a real impact. Reporting directly to the CEO and Board, you'll take ownership of the finance function while partnering with senior stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.

This is a newly created role, offering the opportunity to bring greater financial leadership in-house and shape the future of the finance function.

The Role

• Lead the finance function and manage one direct report.

• Prepare monthly management accounts and board reports.

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management.

• Deliver meaningful financial analysis to support business decisions.

• Manage audit, compliance and financial controls.

• Drive process improvements and strengthen reporting.

• Partner with the CEO and Board on strategic initiatives.

About You

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA).

• Previous experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager.

• Strong management reporting, budgeting and forecasting experience.

• Commercially minded with a hands-on approach.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Comfortable working in a broad SME role.

A background in retail, wholesale, distribution or e-commerce would be a significant advantage.
