FRS Recruitment are now inviting applications for the role of 'Farm Services Lead'. This is a full-time permanent role.
Our Client has been providing necessary skills and services to their customers to support their farms efficiently and successfully across Ireland.
As a Farm Services Lead you will be responsible for the preparation, organisation and oversight of the deliverance of farm services on behalf of the client. This role will be suited to candidates with an Agri/Business qualification and strong agri background/knowledge.


Based in South Cavan, this role also covers the Meath and Louth regions. Candidates within those locations are also welcome to apply.

Job Summary:
The Farm Services Team Lead will play a crucial role in assisting the Farm Services Manager with the day-to-day operations. You will coordinate with farm operators, manage equipment and supplies and implement best practices to optimize farm operations. You will ensure operators are maintaining high standards of productivity and quality. Your role is essential in maintaining smooth operations and contributing to the overall success and growth of farm services by ensuring excellent customer delivery.

Key Responsibilities
People Management:
• Manage a team of operators with regular onsite engagement to ensure their performance and development
• Promote the referral programme and any other incentives to attract new candidates locally through socials or directly with the team
• Support the recruitment process of operators, through to interview and selection of new employees
• Build an excellent network of candidates and market their skills and availability to current and potential customers.
• Design and monitor reports to measure training compliance.
• Ensure regular and planned contact with operators and deliver excellent support service to them through effective communication
• Manage holidays to allow for seasonal requirements and engage with HR on any working time issues

Operations:
• Ensure your team of operators are trained in line with expectations.
• Point of contact for any queries on payroll and/or accounts
• Work with current customers to train and encourage their engagement on the portal and support them with any queries.
• Provide data support as required
• Manage booking cycle
• Liaise with Clients on safety information
• Ensure that all health and safety guidelines are implemented
• Fulfil any reporting and other admin requirements
• Ensure our operators are compliant with any sustainable farming practices

Business Development:
• Grow team of operators in line with demand
• Identify any other service opportunities
• Network through discussion groups and field events opportunities. Plan quarterly in line with other areas the approach, events and desired outcomes.

• Problem Solver & team player
• Enthusiastic open to new ideas and solutions
• Able to work on own initiative to reach shared goals
• Good IT skills, familiar with day-to-day use of Systems, apps.

Experience:
• Experience and background in Farming sector or suitably qualified in this area.
• Strong PC Skill and understanding of systems, Microsoft office/Excel.
• Car owner and full drivers’ licence
• More experienced candidates considered with a background in sales/supply, may have worked in a related industry and has good transferable skills
