Key Responsibilities

Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil engineering, WWPS, utilities, and reinstatement projects

Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation

Quantifying materials, labour, plant, and subcontract requirements

Obtaining, analysing, and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotations
-
Supporting tender submissions and commercial proposals
-
Identifying commercial risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
-
Liaising with Project Managers, Engineers, and site teams during tender and project handover
-
Maintaining cost databases and historical pricing records
Requirements
-
Previous experience in an Estimator role within civil engineering or construction
-
Experience in WWPS and/or wastewater infrastructure is highly desirable
-
Strong knowledge of reinstatement works and utilities projects
-
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities
-
Strong numerical, analytical, and commercial skills
-
Proficiency in Excel and estimating software
Desirable (but not essential)

Engineering or construction-related qualification

Experience working on frameworks or long-term utility contracts
-
Familiarity with NEC or similar contract forms
