A leading manufacturing company based in Dublin is seeking an experienced and proactive Factory Electrician to join its maintenance team.

This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of all electrical systems on-site, supporting both production and facilities.

The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, production and maintenance teams to minimise downtime, improve equipment reliability and maintain compliance with industry standards.


Key Responsibilities;

Electrical Maintenance & Repair

  • Install, maintain and repair electrical systems including motors, conveyors, pumps, PLCs, lighting and wiring.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults, identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on factory equipment and facilities.
  • Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints and electrical schematics.

Continuous Improvement & Optimisation

  • Identify opportunities to improve machine performance and facility infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement plans of work for approved improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimise equipment reliability and performance.
  • Ensure all project activities are completed within scheduled timelines.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain full compliance with health and safety regulations, internal policies and electrical codes.
  • Carry out machine and site risk assessments as required.
  • Participate in incident and accident investigations.
  • Ensure all mandatory training and certifications remain valid, including Manual Handling, Working at Height and PAT testing.

Mechanical & General Maintenance Support

  • Carry out mechanical repairs to support site fitters and multidisciplinary maintenance activities.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime and ensure production continuity.

Documentation & Training

  • Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance records using the MaintainX platform.
  • Support and mentor apprentices, ensuring training aligns with SOLAS programme requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified Electrician with a recognised electrical trade certification.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical systems, PLCs and industrial machinery.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with computerised maintenance management systems (e.g., MaintainX) is an advantage.
  • Strong awareness of health, safety and regulatory requirements.
