An experienced and proactive Factory Electrician is required to join a busy manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including motors, conveyors, pumps, PLCs, lighting, and wiring

  • Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance on factory equipment and facilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical faults and identify root causes of issues

  • Identify opportunities for machine and facility improvements and develop action plans to implement enhancements

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and electrical regulations

  • Conduct machine and site risk assessments

  • Participate in incident and accident investigations where required

  • Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimise equipment performance and reliability

  • Support site fitters with mechanical repairs when required

  • Maintain accurate records of all work completed using the Maintain X platform

  • Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime

  • Support apprentice training in line with Solas programme requirements

  • Ensure all project work is completed within scheduled timelines

  • Maintain up-to-date certifications including Manual Handling, Working at Height, and PAT testing

Requirements:

  • Qualified Electrician with relevant certification

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (preferred)

  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Strong commitment to health and safety standards
