An experienced and proactive Factory Electrician is required to join a busy manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including motors, conveyors, pumps, PLCs, lighting, and wiring

Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance on factory equipment and facilities

Troubleshoot electrical faults and identify root causes of issues

Identify opportunities for machine and facility improvements and develop action plans to implement enhancements
-
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and electrical regulations

Conduct machine and site risk assessments
-
Participate in incident and accident investigations where required

Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
-
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimise equipment performance and reliability
-
Support site fitters with mechanical repairs when required
-
Maintain accurate records of all work completed using the Maintain X platform
-
Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime

Support apprentice training in line with Solas programme requirements
-
Ensure all project work is completed within scheduled timelines
-
Maintain up-to-date certifications including Manual Handling, Working at Height, and PAT testing
Requirements:

Qualified Electrician with relevant certification

Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (preferred)

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Strong commitment to health and safety standards
