FRS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Design Lead on behalf of a well-established specialist contractor specialising in the delivery of controlled environments and high-specification construction projects across Ireland and Europe.
Reporting directly to the Design Manager, the successful candidate will act as the design lead across allocated projects, coordinating the design process from concept through to project completion. Working as part of an experienced in-house design team, you will collaborate closely with project managers, commercial teams, consultants and specialist subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest technical standards.

Responsibilities
- Lead the design coordination process across allocated projects.
- Manage design deliverables from pre-construction through to completion.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants and specialist subcontractors.
- Liaise with project, commercial and site delivery teams.
- Chair design meetings and manage technical design queries.
- Review drawings and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Support value engineering and continuous design improvements.
- Monitor design programmes to support successful project delivery.
Requirements
- Previous experience within a Design Coordinator, Design Lead or similar role.
- Construction, engineering or architectural background preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and technical detailing.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple design packages simultaneously.
- Experience using AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Experience within pharmaceutical, cleanroom, life sciences or data centre projects advantageous.
- Irish or UK construction experience highly advantageous.
Salary & Benefits
- €50,000 - €60,000 depending on experience.
