My client, a leading industrial parts manufacturer and distributor, is currently seeking an experienced Demand Planner to join their Supply Chain team in North Dublin.
Due to continued growth, my client is looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Demand Planner to play a key role in improving forecasting, demand planning and inventory management across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and fast-paced environment, working closely with Purchasing, Sales and Operations to improve forecast accuracy, stock availability and overall supply chain performance.
Key responsibilities for the Demand Planner will include:
- Managing and maintaining the company's demand planning and forecasting tool.
- Reviewing and validating forecasts and providing reporting on forecast accuracy.
- Supporting and strengthening the company's S&OP processes.
- Analysing sales trends and commercial information to improve forecasting accuracy and service levels.
- Leading out-of-stock reporting and root cause analysis to minimise lost sales.
- Identifying future inventory risks and opportunities and providing recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Managing demand planning requirements for new product introductions, product phase-ins and phase-outs.
- Acting as the key link between the Sales and Purchasing teams, translating commercial insights into forecast adjustments.
- Working closely with Operations and Sales to optimise inventory levels across third-party logistics locations.
- Developing reporting and insights to support better supply chain and purchasing decisions.
The requirements for the Demand Planner include but are not limited to:
- A relevant third-level qualification in Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in Demand or Production Planning
- Strong knowledge of forecasting methodologies and demand planning tools.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across Purchasing, Sales and Operations.
- A structured, detail-oriented and process-driven approach.
- A proactive mindset and willingness to learn and develop within the business.
