We are seeking a Data & Integration Engineer to join a growing IT team. This role will support system integrations, data management, reporting, and process improvement initiatives across multiple business systems. The successful candidate will work closely with business users, vendors, and technical teams to deliver integration solutions, automate reporting, and improve data quality and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Support
- Assist with the design and implementation of a new integration platform
- Support the setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system integrations
- Work with API-based data flows, including REST APIs and JSON data
- Develop and support scripts for automation and data processing
- Document integration workflows, data mappings, and process logic
- Participate in UAT for integrations and system changes
Data Management
- Support data cleansing, validation, transformation, and model design
- Improve data structures, governance, and data quality processes
- Build and maintain datasets for analytics and operational reporting
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI and Cognos Analytics
- Create automated reporting solutions
- Ensure reporting accuracy and consistency
- Provide ad hoc reporting support to stakeholders
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Gather requirements with business and technical teams
- Deliver user support and training on reporting tools and workflows
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Skills & Experience
- Experience working with REST APIs, authentication, and JSON
- Strong SQL querying skills
- Exposure to ETL/ELT or integration platforms
- Experience with Power BI and Cognos Analytics
- Python skills for automation and data manipulation
- Understanding of data modelling and relational databases
- Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or HRIS systems
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with process improvement and IT compliance controls (e.g. SOX)
