FRS are seeking an experienced and motivated Credit Controller to join our client’s finance team on a permanent contract. Reporting directly to the Head of Credit Control, you will take full responsibility for managing the company’s credit control function across the Munster region. Working within a team of 4 Credit Controllers managing their own client ledgers.

Full time office based in Dublin 12.

This is a key position that requires strong relationship management, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively contact customers to secure payment and follow up until accounts are settled
  • Perform bank payment reconciliations accurately and efficiently
  • Liaise with sales representatives regarding overdue accounts or accounts nearing credit limits
  • Participate in weekly debtors’ meetings with management and sales teams
  • Prepare and review weekly and monthly debtor reports
  • Open new customer accounts, including obtaining credit references and agency reports
  • Issue overcharge credits where required
  • Resolve customer queries and disputes in collaboration with internal teams
  • Complete documentation for Small Claims proceedings where necessary
  • Carry out general administrative duties related to credit control
  • Support the wider team with any additional tasks within a busy branch environment

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a Credit Control role
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with computerised accounts systems
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage workload effectively
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
