A growing Irish mechanical contractor operating within the Fit-Out sector is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join its leadership team.
This is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing contract negotiations, commercial performance, and project delivery across multiple sites. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving profitability, managing risk, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
The Role
Strategic & Commercial Leadership

Align contract and commercial decisions with long-term business objectives

Drive profitability and protect project margins

Manage commercial risk, variations, claims and contract change processes

Build and maintain strong client and supplier relationships

Balance commercial risk, delivery timelines and quality standards
Contract & Project Management

Manage day-to-day contract performance in line with agreed terms

Oversee variations, extensions, claims and dispute resolution

Maintain accurate contract documentation and governance records

Lead contract handover and review meetings
-
Provide regular commercial and performance reports to senior leadership
Team Leadership

Lead and mentor teams across multiple projects

Set clear KPIs and performance expectations

Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture

Support development and succession planning
Governance & Compliance

Ensure compliance with commercial governance and reporting requirements

Promote QEHS standards and safe systems of work

Contribute to continuous improvement of internal systems and processes

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management

Safe Pass & Manual Handling

Full clean Irish driving licence

Experience with recognised main Irish contractors or developers

Experience delivering complex projects valued up to €2m

Strong knowledge of variations, claims and commercial change management

Experience working on both public and private sector contracts
