Contract Psychologist – Neurodevelopmental Assessments

FRS Recruitment is working exclusively with a specialist psychology service to source experienced Clinical, Counselling and Educational Psychologists for flexible contract opportunities supporting neurodevelopmental assessments.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Psychologist looking to take on additional contract work alongside existing commitments, with flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work within an experienced multidisciplinary team.
The Role
As a Contract Psychologist, you will contribute to comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people, including assessments relating to Autism, ADHD, intellectual disability and other developmental presentations.
Depending on the assessment pathway, responsibilities may include:
• Conducting ADI-R developmental history interviews
• Completing face-to-face ADOS-2 assessments
• Conducting cognitive assessments where required
• Reviewing clinical and developmental information
• Contributing to multidisciplinary diagnostic discussions
• Completing clinical formulation and differential diagnosis
• Preparing high-quality assessment and diagnostic reports
• Providing feedback to children, young people and their families
• Working collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team
Requirements
• Recognised Level 8 Psychology qualification or equivalent
• Postgraduate professional qualification in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology recognised for practice in Ireland
• Appropriate professional registration / eligibility to practise in Ireland
• Minimum 3 years' experience conducting diagnostic assessments for Autism, ADHD and/or other neurodevelopmental conditions
• Strong knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and differential diagnosis
• Experience with neurodevelopmental and/or cognitive assessment
• Training and practical experience using ADOS-2 and ADI-R
• Excellent clinical report-writing and formulation skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to an MDT
• Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland
• Applicants must already have the right to work in Ireland — visa sponsorship is not available for this position
