The Role

My client, a leading Irish online retailer is seeking a dynamic and experienced Content & Category Lead to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent, office based position located in North Dublin.

As the Content & Category Lead you will be responsible for leading and managing the content team to ensure high standards of product and website content, while taking ownership of category management and website improvements.

Tasks & Duties

  • Lead & inspire the content team, setting high standards for quality, accuracy, and consistency across the website.
  • Own product listings and category management, ensuring every detail is complete, clear, and customer-friendly.
  • Proactively improve content, spotting gaps, errors, and opportunities to enhance product presentation and coverage.
  • Collaborate with SEO, marketing, and design teams to drive website traffic, boost sales, and support campaigns.
  • Streamline processes & track performance, monitoring team output, reporting progress, and increasing efficiency.
  • Become a product & website expert, using your knowledge to support growth and implement long-term improvements.

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, guide, and develop a content team while maintaining high standards.
  • Expert English writing and editing skills, with exceptional attention to detail and organisational ability.
  • Hands-on experience in e-commerce or online retail, managing product catalogues and content through CMS, CRM, ERP, or PIM systems.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, digital marketing, product page optimisation, and email campaigns, with practical application experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, driving performance, workflow improvements, and consistent results.
  • Proactive and process-focused mindset, proficient in MS Office and basic HTML, with experience leveraging data and reporting to improve team output and website performance.
  • Candidates must currently reside within a commutable distance and have full legal working rights in Ireland.
