The Role
As Construction Manager, you will oversee all on-site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with the Project Manager, design team, subcontractors and client representatives to drive successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all day-to-day construction activities on site.
- Coordinate subcontractors, site teams and suppliers to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, programmes and resource allocation.
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.
- Promote and maintain a strong Health & Safety culture across site.
- Manage project logistics and sequencing to maximise productivity.
- Chair site meetings and provide regular progress updates.
- Liaise with clients, consultants and design teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify project risks and implement effective solutions.
- Mentor and develop Site Engineers and site management teams.
Requirements
- Degree or trade qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager or Senior Site Manager with a main contractor.
- Strong knowledge of commercial, industrial or mixed-use construction projects.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, planning and programme management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Full driving licence.
