Community Nurse (RGN) – County Laois

FRS Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established community nursing service in County Laois for a full-time Community Nurse (RGN). The successful candidate will join a supportive team providing high-quality nursing care within the community. Full training, induction, and ongoing support will be provided.

Position Details

• Location: County Laois

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

• Flexibility: Alternative working arrangements may be considered

• Contract Type: Full-Time, Ongoing

• Start Date: Immediate

• Salary: €38,166 – €56,592 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)

• On-Call Requirement: Participation in a weekend on-call rota may be required to support essential service needs

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to patients within the community setting

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans

• Promote patient independence, wellbeing, and quality of life

• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation

• Liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families

• Adhere to all professional, clinical, and organisational standards

Essential Requirements

• Registered General Nurse (RGN)

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills

• Professional, compassionate, and patient-centred approach to care

• Full driving licence and access to own vehicle, as travel within the community is required

• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider healthcare team
