FRS Recruitment is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join a growing healthcare service delivering specialist nursing care to patients in the community.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys working independently, managing their own workload and delivering high-quality, patient-centred care outside the traditional hospital setting.

We are particularly interested in hearing from nurses with experience in pharmaceutical services, IV antibiotic therapy, infusion therapy or specialist community nursing.

About the Role

You will play a key role in delivering and coordinating specialist healthcare services for patients in their own homes and community settings across Leinster.

Working autonomously while collaborating with a wider clinical and operational team, you will support patients receiving IV antibiotics at home, virtual ward services and other specialist nursing interventions.

This role would suit a confident, clinically skilled nurse who enjoys autonomy, problem-solving and building relationships with patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to patients in community settings.

  • Provide IV antibiotic therapy and other specialist nursing interventions in line with clinical protocols and your scope of practice.

  • Assess patients, monitor clinical progress and escalate concerns appropriately.

  • Coordinate care with hospitals, GPs, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.

  • Educate and support patients and their families in managing treatment safely at home.

  • Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with clinical governance and patient safety standards.

  • Work independently, prioritising visits and managing your workload effectively.

  • Contribute to service development and continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

  • Current NMBI registration.

  • Relevant nursing qualification.

  • At least 5 years' registered nursing experience.

  • Experience in community nursing, IV therapies, infusion services or pharmaceutical healthcare is highly desirable.

  • Strong clinical assessment, decision-making and organisational skills.

  • Confidence working autonomously and managing a varied workload.

  • Excellent communication and IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook.

  • Current permission to work in Ireland.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary from €50,000+ per annum, depending on experience.

  • Company car or car allowance.

  • Annual incentive and performance-related bonus opportunities.

  • Private health insurance.

  • Gym membership.

  • Laptop and mobile phone provided.

  • Flexible working arrangements.

  • Full-time, permanent position.

  • Opportunity to deliver innovative, patient-focused healthcare in the community.

Interested?

If you are a Registered Nurse looking for a more autonomous role where you can use your clinical expertise, build meaningful relationships with patients and enjoy the variety of community-based care, I would love to hear from you.
