About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven professional looking to join a business with a strong pipeline of long-term work and genuine opportunities for progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial management of major civil engineering projects.
  • Manage project budgets, cost reporting and financial forecasting.
  • Oversee contract administration in accordance with NEC, Public Works or other relevant forms of contract.
  • Manage subcontract procurement, valuations and final accounts.
  • Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare monthly commercial reports and present project performance to senior management.
  • Lead, mentor and develop Quantity Surveyors and commercial team members.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
  • Support operational teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
  • Drive commercial best practice across all projects.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Previous experience managing commercial teams on large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish construction contracts.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Full clean driving licence.
