FRS Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Commercial Director on behalf of an established Agribusiness in the midlands. This is a newly created role to meet the growing demands of an expanding business.

Our client has been supporting the Irish Agricultural trade for the last 70 years and in that period of time they have made a huge contribution to innovation in the farming sector.

The Commercial Director will be responsible for overseeing the daily business operations , commercial performance , business strategy & relationship management. You will be responsible for building a high-performance team to ensure strong service delivery

Duties to include

  • Strategic management – develop and implement a long-term strategic plan for the business.
  • Operational Management – oversee the day-to-day operations ensuring efficient process and resource utilisation.
  • Financial Management – develop and manage the divisions budget ensuring strong financial performance.
  • Sales & Marketing – develop commercial strategies to support sales online and direct B2B sales.
  • Product Knowledge – maintain strong technical knowledge of products and emerging trends.
  • Supply chain management – oversea inventory planning , forecasting and stock optimisation for Supply chain team.
  • Team leadership- lead , motivate and develop a high performing team.
  • Customer relationship management – build and manage long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Product Portfolio management – identify and source new products that complement the existing portfolio partnering with the Supply chain.

Candidate profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Management, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a leadership role within the Agricultural sector
  • Proven sales management experience with track record in B2B markets.
  • Previous experience of growing and developing a business unit
  • Strong IT and analytical skills.
