Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Azure/GCP) - Munster

I am partnering with this leading Multinational client in their search for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of cloud cost optimisation, monitoring, and infrastructure excellence across Azure and GCP environments.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure across Azure and GCP.
  • Lead and evolve our Cloud FinOps capability, including governance, cost visibility, budgeting, forecasting, and optimisation initiatives.
  • Partner with Engineering, Finance, and Service Delivery teams to drive cloud cost control and reporting.
  • Act as the cloud cost optimisation SME, influencing engineering teams and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain Grafana dashboards and Prometheus monitoring and alerting frameworks.
  • Support infrastructure deployments using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies.
  • Monitor platform performance, availability, and capacity while ensuring an optimal cost-to-performance balance.
  • Contribute to incident management, root cause analysis, and operational resilience.
  • Drive automation, continuous improvement, and observability standards across the organisation.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years' experience in Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a similar role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure and/or GCP, supported by relevant certifications.
  • Proven success delivering Cloud FinOps and cost optimisation initiatives with measurable business impact.
  • Expertise in:
    • Grafana and Prometheus
    • Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code
    • Jira, JSM Operations, and Confluence
    • Scripting and automation (Python, Bash, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, cost drivers, observability, and performance optimisation.
  • Experience supporting production environments and incident management processes.
