FRS Recruitment is offering a relief position for a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNSp) – Respiratory Integrated Care. You will provide specialist care for patients with COPD and asthma across community and hospital settings, running nurse-led clinics, supporting GPs and multidisciplinary teams, assessing inhaler use and treatment plans, and delivering education to patients, families, and staff. You will act as a key link between hospital and community respiratory services, supporting patients to manage their condition at home, reduce hospital admissions, and access integrated care pathways.
You will also contribute to service development, audit, and research, evaluating patient outcomes and implementing best practice care pathways. The role involves close collaboration with GPs, respiratory consultants, and MDT colleagues, with 80% of work in primary care and 20% in hospital-based outpatient services, including participation in Pulmonary Rehabilitation or Outreach services as needed.

Requirements:
- Access to own transport; driving to patient homes and community hubs is required. Full clean Irish driving license and a car essential.
- Registered nurse on the active Register of Nurses held by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland(NMBI) or eligible for registration.
- Completion of a post-registration programme (QQI Level 8 or equivalent) in the relevant specialist area.
- Minimum 5 years post-registration experience, including at least 2 years in respiratory nursing or pulmonary rehabilitation with patients with chronic respiratory disease.
- Evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to best practice care.
