Clinical Nurse Manager I – Oncology

Location: Limerick
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: €57,780 – €68,046 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager I (CNM I) to join a specialist Oncology service in a leading private healthcare setting in the Mid-West region.

This role is ideal for a motivated oncology nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care while supporting clinical excellence, service development, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day management and coordination of oncology services.
  • Lead and supervise nursing staff, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
  • Allocate resources and patient assignments according to clinical needs and staff skill mix.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical practice, patient safety, and quality care.
  • Participate in audit, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical governance activities.
  • Contribute to staff development, education, and performance management.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
  • Act as deputy to senior nursing management when required.

Requirements:

  • Registered General Nurse with current NMBI registration.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ oncology nursing experience.
  • Competency in:
    • IV and oral chemotherapy administration.
    • Central venous access device (CVAD) management.
    • IV cannulation and venepuncture.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and ongoing professional development.
