An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager I (CNM I) to join a specialist Oncology service in a leading private healthcare setting in the Mid-West region.
This role is ideal for a motivated oncology nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care while supporting clinical excellence, service development, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day management and coordination of oncology services.
- Lead and supervise nursing staff, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
- Allocate resources and patient assignments according to clinical needs and staff skill mix.
- Maintain high standards of clinical practice, patient safety, and quality care.
- Participate in audit, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical governance activities.
- Contribute to staff development, education, and performance management.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
- Act as deputy to senior nursing management when required.
Requirements:
- Registered General Nurse with current NMBI registration.
- Minimum of 3 years’ oncology nursing experience.
- Competency in:
- IV and oral chemotherapy administration.
- Central venous access device (CVAD) management.
- IV cannulation and venepuncture.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and ongoing professional development.
