Clinical Nurse Manager III – Cardiology Services

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Clinical Nurse Manager III (CNM III) to lead our Cardiology Services. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an accomplished nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred cardiac care while supporting clinical excellence, service development, and continuous quality improvement.
The successful candidate will provide strong clinical and operational leadership, foster a culture of collaboration and innovation, and work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must:

Be registered in the General Division of the register maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).

Have a minimum of five years' post-registration experience, preferably within a Cardiology Unit, Coronary Care Unit (CCU), or Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory.

Have at least two years' management experience in a cardiology or cardiac services environment.

Have successfully completed a recognised management or leadership development programme.

Demonstrate excellent clinical knowledge, professional competence, and sound clinical judgement.

Possess strong leadership, communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and support multidisciplinary teams.

Be proficient in the use of relevant IT systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Demonstrate the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Have a proven ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with patients, colleagues, and stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.

Be enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to delivering excellence in patient care.

Have a sound understanding of healthcare accreditation standards, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical governance.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will also have:

A Degree or higher qualification in Cardiology Nursing or a related specialty.

Evidence of ongoing post-registration professional development.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Demonstrated ability to analyse clinical practice, implement service improvements, and lead change initiatives.

A comprehensive understanding of operational policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.

Experience in clinical risk management, including the investigation, reporting, and documentation of adverse incidents.

The ability to identify emerging healthcare trends, support innovation, and contribute to the strategic development of cardiology services.
